HOW TO GET THERE
FROM LAMIA:
From the first entrance of Lamia (South) follow the signs to Karpenissi & and the National Road (E952) passing through Lianokladi, Makrakomi, Ptelea, Aghios Georgios, Timfristo.
From Karpenissi you continue, you pass the guest house, the bridge of Megdowa river and at the intersection you will meet you turn to Viniani, Kerasohori, Krenti and continue towards Voulpi, Limeri, Granitsa.
Alternatively, you can go through East & West Francis going back to Voulpi, Limeri, Granitsa. This route has more turns but a nice view to Lake Kremasta.
Total distance Karpenissi – Granitsa 72 km.
FROM ANTIRIO – AGRINIO:
From Antirio you follow the road to Agrinio (61km) and in Agrinio take EO Agrinio – Arta. Turn right (signs for Spolaita/ Kastraki), continue to Cf. Kalyvia – Spoletas Bridge, turn left and then right to enter the Chora. Halkiopoulou – Stratou, follow signs for Karpenissi. Pass the Tatarna Bridge and then turn to get EO Karpenissi – Agrinio. Turn right to Bakoyannis (signs to Prousos / Prousos Monastery / Mikro Chorio / Megalo Horio) and finally take the Georg. Papandreou and Frixos to Granitsa.
